Blow Job

We picked up this cellulose insulation from the Green Depot over on Pulaski and Diversey. National Fiber Cel-Pak Cellulose Insulation Made from 100% recycled newspapers. Normally the stuff you pick up from Green Depot lives on the expensive side of life but for $7 a bale its a nice deal. We rented the hopper from them and went to town. Here's a shot of Evan putting in the insulation:

  1. Hey there,
I just happened on your blog, and love your aesthetic (from the inspiration pics, at least!). I look forward to seeing what you do with the place!
I had this kind of insulation blown into my place last month (all walls/ceilings/attic - my house had zero insulation!) and TOTALLY wanted to name my post about it 'Blow Job', but chickened out (conservative family, what can I say!) :)
    Anyway, yours made me laugh.
Way to go tackling it yourselves!

  2. I have heard from so many people that wall insulation made such a huge difference in keeping the cool/warm air in the house- smart move- and smart post name!
